What is a busy book?
A busy book, also called a quiet book, is a soft book of hand-stitched felt activity pages. Each page is a little job for small hands: sorting, matching, counting, finding, or moving pieces around. They're quiet, screen-free, and made to be handled.
Can I buy single pages?
Yes. Pages are sold one at a time, so you can build a book around the activities and themes your little one loves, and add new pages as they grow.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes. Tell us about the child, their name, favorite colors and the things they love, and Lisa will plan pages just for them. Custom pages are the regular page price plus $5 to personalize, and most are ready in 1 to 2 weeks. Start on the Custom Orders page.
Where can I see them in person?
Plum & Page has a display at Attic 13, 220 N Main St in Lexington, NC. Pages there change as they sell, and everything online can be ordered any time.
Do you ship?
Yes. Shipping is a flat $5 anywhere in the US, or choose free local pickup in the Trinity, NC area at checkout.
How do I pay?
Checkout runs through Square, so you can pay securely with a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Cash App Pay. We never see or store your card details.
How do I care for busy book pages?
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it air dry. Do not machine wash or put it in the dryer.
What ages are busy books for?
Little ones from about 6 months old through preschool, and they're great for all ages and for kids with special needs. Every page is made for hands-on play, so like any toy, play together and keep an eye on little ones.
